What is Disseminated Herpes?

As the name suggests, disseminated herpes is a type of herpes infection that has spread to other parts of the skin and even internal organs.

According to studies, two general groups of people are at risk of developing this type of herpes:

  • those with underlying skin conditions

Treatments

In one documented case of this disease on a seemingly healthy man, antiviral drugs have proven effective. The patient received intravenous acyclovir for two days.   • HPV: 1 month to 10 years (depending on specific type)
  • trichomoniasis: 5 to 28 days

As to the frequency of testing, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends following these screening and testing guidelines. 

Common STD symptoms

The most common STD symptoms exhibit themselves in the genital area. Here are some of the typical signs you should watch out for:

  • Bumps, sores, and lesions in the genital area, anus, buttocks, and thighs

  • Genital bleeding
